Boise State Wine by Proletariat: Blue Turf Blend + Bronco Bubbles

Proletariat Wine Company just gave Bronco Nation a new reason to raise a glass. The Garden City winery teamed up with Boise State Athletics on two limited-edition wines made for game days, Blue Turf Blend and Bronco Bubbles.

The collaboration is such a fun Boise pairing, especially because Proletariat’s founders are proud Boise State alumni and longtime Bronco fans. Blue Turf Blend is a Bordeaux-style red, while Bronco Bubbles is a sparkling rosé made for celebrating. You can read the official Boise State announcement or browse the wines on Proletariat’s website.

I got to pick up a few bottles at Proletariat and then tried them at home with my mom while we watched an away game. We made charcuterie, opened the wine and loved having something local that made our game-day setup feel a little more festive. 💙🧡

Why This Collaboration Feels So Boise

What I like about this partnership is that it brings together two things my mom and I already love: Boise State and wine. Proletariat is based in Garden City, and its founders are Boise State alumni and longtime Bronco fans, so this feels like a real local connection instead of just a logo on a bottle.

Blue Turf Blend is the Bordeaux-style red, with dark cherry and spice notes, while Bronco Bubbles is a sparkling rosé with bright fruit and lively bubbles. The wines are made with grapes from Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and they were created specifically for Bronco Nation. Since they’re limited edition, availability may change once the current supply is gone.

Our Away-Game Setup

My mom and I are both big Boise State fans, and we already love an excuse to open a bottle of wine, so this was an easy game-day plan for us. I picked up the bottles at Proletariat, brought them home, and we made charcuterie while watching the away game. It felt festive without needing to leave the house, and the blue-and-orange bottles made the table feel like we had actually planned ahead.

The wines worked well for the occasion because there was a red for sipping and a sparkling rosé for toasting. We enjoyed both, and I would absolutely pick them up again for a Bronco watch party, a tailgate-at-home setup or a gift for another Boise State fan.

Where to Find the Boise State Wines

Both wines are available to taste at Proletariat’s Garden City tasting room at 106 E. 36th Street, and bottles are available to take home or order through Proletariat’s Boise State wine page. The launch announcement also lists select Albertsons locations, including Broadway and Fairview Market Street, plus Boise State’s Stueckle Sky Center and North End Zone hospitality spaces while supplies last.

The tasting room has indoor seating, a ground-floor patio and a rooftop terrace. Proletariat says parking is available in its lot and the public lot at 36th and Carr; street parking is not allowed on 36th Street. Check the tasting room details before you go.

For Your Next Bronco Game Day

If you’re a Boise State fan who also loves wine, this collaboration is worth adding to your list. I loved having the bottles at home with my mom, and I think they would be just as fun for a watch party, a tailgate-at-home spread or a gift for the Bronco fan who already has plenty of blue and orange gear.
