Football season is almost here, and I recently got a sneak peek at some of the new food and drink options coming to Albertsons Stadium this season!
We got to check out some of the new spaces, see what’s coming for game days and meet Chef Roland Cruz, who gave us a look at some of the food fans will be able to find around the stadium this year. And there are actually quite a few changes.
Boise State is adding more than 50 new points of sale throughout the stadium, along with five new food carts, more local options and a brand-new South Fan Depot.
So, after getting a little preview of what’s coming, here’s what you can expect to find at Albertsons Stadium this fall.
The New South Fan Depot
One of the bigger additions this season is the new South Fan Depot, located underneath the south end zone stands and replacing Bronco Alley.
This new area will have plenty of the classic game day foods, including hot dogs, corn dogs, soda and beer. You’ll also be able to get souvenir stadium bowls filled with chicken tenders and other stadium favorites.
There are a LOT more concession areas being added throughout Albertsons Stadium this year, which should hopefully mean less time waiting in line and more time actually enjoying the game.
New Food Carts in the North End Zone
Another big change is happening in the North End Zone.
The new concourse has around 37,000 square feet of open space and will have five new food carts, multiple beverage carts and a new draft beer trailer. And there’s quite a bit of variety when it comes to the food.
Fiesta Bowls
Fiesta Bowls is a new gluten-friendly option coming to the stadium this season. It’s nice to see some additional choices being added beyond the traditional burgers, hot dogs and nachos you’d normally expect at a football game.
Hook & Ladder
You’ll also find Hook & Ladder, a new Boise State-themed concept in the North End Zone.
Fry Zone
Fry Zone will be serving mini corn dog baskets, with the option to upgrade yours to one of the souvenir stadium bowls.
First Down Grill
First Down Grill is bringing quesabirria tacos to Albertsons Stadium this year. This is definitely one of the new options that caught my attention when we got our sneak peek!
Jr. Bronco Burgers
Jr. Bronco Burgers will have smaller portions of burgers and hot dogs, including burgers made with Double R Ranch beef. This will be a good option if you want something a little smaller or you’re bringing the kids along.
Local Favorites + Returning Food
Some local favorites are coming back too, including mini donuts, Coned Pizza and La Tapatia. Blue 32 BBQ is also returning, along with brisket nachos, brisket-topped burgers and hot dogs, smokehouse loaded nachos and loaded hammer mac and cheese.
Bronco Bowls will also be back at two concession stands with fried rice, chow mein noodles, orange chicken and broccoli beef. And, of course, you’ll still find all of the classic game day food like Double R Ranch beef burgers and hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, kettle corn and candy.
Drinks + A Few Things to Know
Beer, seltzers and cider will be available throughout the stadium, along with Coca-Cola products and other non-alcoholic drinks. New this season, non-alcoholic beer will also be available in designated areas.
Albertsons Stadium concessions are cashless and accept cards, digital payments and tap to pay. If you bring cash, there are two kiosks where you can convert it to a prepaid card for free, located on the west concourse inside Entry 3 and Entry 4 and on the southeast main concourse inside Entry 2.
And because those early Boise State games can still be HOT, bottled water will be available throughout the stadium, along with complimentary water stations and drinking fountains. Additional water stations will also be added during hot-weather games.
Boise State's 2026 Home Opener
Boise State’s first home game is Saturday, September 12 against Memphis at Albertsons Stadium. After getting a sneak peek at everything and meeting Chef Roland Cruz, I’m excited to see all of the new additions come together on game day.
Between the new South Fan Depot, five new food carts, more than 50 new points of sale and returning local favorites, there’s going to be a lot more to choose from this season. Now we just need football season to get here. 💙🧡
