All About The Look
Getting dressed up is already one of my favorite things, but this one felt extra special. I was so honored to be selected as one of the Idaho Business Review’s Top 50 Women of the Year nominees, so of course one of my first thoughts after finding out was, what am I going to wear?
I knew I wanted something that felt polished enough for the gala, but still very much like me. I didn’t want a traditional gown or anything that felt too formal, so I loved this plaid blazer-style look with the white pleated skirt detail. It felt classic but still fun, and a little more unexpected than a typical event dress.
The gold heels were probably my favorite part of the whole outfit. The oversized bows gave them a little drama, and I loved how they looked with the more tailored outfit. I kept the rest pretty simple with a tennis bracelet and necklace for jewelry. (I am forever a fan of Caitlyn Minimalist's jewelry!) I also had this adorable gold embellished purse I used for a 1920's costume that I tied it all together nicely.
A Night Worth Dressing Up For
The night itself was such a fun excuse to get dressed up, celebrate with Skylar, and be in a room with so many incredible women from around Idaho. Running a business usually looks a lot less glamorous than this, so it was really nice to have a night where I could stop, celebrate the nomination, and take in how special it was to be included in the Top 50.
