What to Eat at a Boise State Football Game: The New South Fan Depot + West Locals Carts

Let’s be honest, I’m checking out the food lineup just as closely as the football schedule. 💙🧡 I got a sneak peek at the new food and drink options at Albertsons Stadium and met Chef Roland Cruz, who shared what’s on the menu for Boise State fans this season.

With more than 50 new points of sale, five new food carts and a brand-new South Fan Depot, there’s a lot to check out. Here’s your guide to deciding what to eat on game day!

Spoiler: the game day food situation is getting a lot better. (If you missed my first look at the season's changes, I covered them in What's New at Boise State Football Games in 2026.)

What’s New for Boise State Game Day Food

One of the bigger additions this season is the South Fan Depot, located underneath the south end zone stands and replacing Bronco Alley.

You’ll find classic game day favorites like hot dogs, corn dogs, soda and beer, plus souvenir stadium bowls filled with chicken tenders and other stadium bites. More concession areas throughout Albertsons Stadium should also mean less time in line and more time watching the game.

Over on the west side, the West Locals area has a few food carts worth checking out. Fry Zone serves mini corn dog baskets you can upgrade to a souvenir bowl. First Down Grill has quesabirria tacos filled with brisket that cooks for about eight hours, with consommé for dipping. And Double R Grill serves burgers and cheeseburgers made with Double R Ranch beef.

The new North End Zone features a 360-degree concourse with five new food carts, beverage carts and a draft beer trailer. Other additions to the menu include Fiesta Chicken Bowls, loaded nachos and specialty hot dogs like the Hot Cheeto Dog. For smaller appetites, look for the Bronco Junior Dog and value burgers made with the same Double R Ranch beef.

What I Tried

Sky and I got our first taste of the new concessions during a media day tasting in the Stueckle Sky Center, where we sampled some of the food and heard what Boise State had planned for the season.

We are BIG Bronco fans, so getting a behind-the-scenes look on game day was pretty exciting! Before the gates opened, I put on an apron and got to cook with Chef Roland Cruz, Boise State’s senior executive campus chef. We made quesabirria tacos in the South Fan Depot trailer, then Sky and I got to eat them right on the blue turf. Definitely a first for us!

After the walkthrough, we headed out and came back through the gates at 6 p.m. with everyone else. I wanted to experience the new concessions during an actual game night, crowds and all.

Tips for Eating at a Boise State Game

If your seats are on the south end, make the South Fan Depot your home base. You get the same food and drinks without the long trek, which means more time actually watching the game.

If you want something to take home, grab your snacks in a souvenir bowl. It's a fun keepsake, especially for kids or anyone at their first Broncos game. And for the burger people, the Double R Grill is the local pick. You can check the schedule and stadium info on Boise State Athletics.

Come for the Game, Bring Your Appetite

Picking your game day food might take a little more planning this season! Between the South Fan Depot, new food carts and returning local favorites, you’ve got plenty of options at Albertsons Stadium.

Save this guide for your next game and tell me what’s first on your food list. 💙🧡

Go Broncos!
