Walla Walla wine weekend = a 10/10. No notes. Just vibes. 🍇✨
I spent the most incredible few days with my bestie Sydney soaking in all things wine, food, and friendship at Celebrate Walla Walla Valley Wine, and trust me - it was the kind of weekend you immediately want to re-live (and re-book).
Let’s rewind to the start, shall we?
We stayed at the Marcus Whitman Hotel in downtown Walla Walla. If you're going to wine country, you may as well do it right. The hotel had historic charm, cozy rooms, and was walking distance to all the fun. It was the perfect place to crash after a day of tastings or a night of dancing at the block party.
Friday morning kicked off strong with a private vineyard tour hosted by Walla Walla Valley Wine and led by Dr. Kevin Pogue, who’s basically the geology and wine whisperer. We got the inside scoop on how the region’s fractured basalt makes the wines so special. It’s like nature’s secret ingredient.
Our first stop was Seven Hills and Ferguson Vineyards, where we met Sadie Drury and Marcus Rafanelli. The views were so stunning we both stopped and said, “Wait, this is real life?”
Next, we took a scenic cruise through The Rocks District and visited Rotie Rocks Estate with Sean Boyd. The Syrah was incredible. We wrapped up the morning at Les Collines Vineyard with Brad Sorensen and Trey Busch, sipping wines straight from the source while chatting with the folks who made them. It was unmatched.
Saturday brought the Celebrate Block Party, and the rosé didn’t stand a chance. We had VIP passes and felt pretty fancy, spending the afternoon floating between tasting booths, enjoying live music, and sampling more small bites than we could count.
The new format of Celebrate really showed off how much depth this region has. It’s no longer just about one varietal - it’s about the people, the land, the stories, and that bold, beautiful Walla Walla energy in every glass.
Also, huge thank you to Gramercy Cellars and The Walls Vineyards for being absolute gems and showing us such warm hospitality. You made the weekend even more special!
Already Counting Down to 2026… Who’s In?
Celebrate Walla Walla is so much more than just a wine event - it’s a full-on experience. Between the vineyard tours, aged tastings, collaborative dinners, and downtown energy, it's everything you want in a wine weekend and then some.
Already planning next year’s trip. Maybe a girls' getaway part two?
Start booking early - especially if you want those VIP passes. And trust me, you do!
Cheers to bold reds, warm nights, and weekends that leave you glowing.
XOXO,
The Boise Socialite 🍷💫
