The Village at Meridian just got a little more delicious. North Italia is officially open, and after getting a taste during their soft opening, I can confidently say: this place delivers!
We’re talking handmade pastas, bold cocktails, and a sun-soaked patio that practically begs you to stay for “just one more round.” Whether you're catching up with friends or easing into a long weekend, this is the kind of spot that makes it way too easy to linger.

Let’s start with the Alta Rossa, a vibrant blend of Lalo Blanco tequila, raspberry, Ramazzotti Rosato, and lemon. It’s citrusy, a little flirty, and the perfect way to kick things off on the patio. (Bonus: it’s stunning. Your Instagram feed will thank you.)
We split a few starters, the Crispy Arancini, which were golden, cheesy, and dusted with freshly grated parmesan, and the Wild Shrimp Scampi, served in a bubbling pan with sweet cherry tomatoes and grilled bread that didn’t last more than a minute on the table.
For mains, I went with the Housemade Pappardelle Bolognese, rich, hearty, and made with that perfect al dente texture. My friend ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and yes, we absolutely swapped bites. It came with a side of creamy mac n' cheese that tasted like a hug in pasta form.
We couldn’t resist the Affogato to finish, classic, simple, and exactly the right kind of bittersweet ending.
But the food isn’t the only reason I’m already planning my next visit. North Italia's outdoor patio is a whole mood. Woven chairs, just the right amount of sunshine, and the kind of people-watching that makes a drink last an extra hour. You’ll want to stay through golden hour.
If you’re local to Boise or Meridian, this one’s going on your regular rotation, trust me. North Italia is casual enough for a weekday lunch and elevated enough for a weekend dinner. Add it to your list, stat.
xoxo,
