Make Your Own Jewelry at Gem Studio Boise

The Gem Studio Boise at The Village at Meridian is one of those places you walk into and immediately think, okay, this is going to be fun. Between the silversmithing workshops, charm bar, and permanent jewelry, it’s the kind of spot where you can make something that actually fits your style and lasts forever.

Gabby and I did a silversmith workshop, and it was hands down one of the most unique, hands-on experiences we’ve had in a long time! The team was so kind, so fun, and made the entire process feel effortless. If you’ve been looking for a creative night out that’s more memorable than another dinner reservation, this is it.

Silversmithing Workshops

This is where the magic happens. Their expert silversmiths walk you through a full three hour workshop where you design and create your own jewelry using high-grade .925 sterling silver. Rings, pendants, bracelets, earrings, and even bolo ties or cuff links if you want something more unique! You’ll get to choose from hundreds of semi-precious stones until you find one that feels like you. It’s surprisingly relaxing, incredibly satisfying, and everyone leaves with something they genuinely love! It’s reservation-only, so plan ahead if you’re booking for a birthday, date night, or girls’ night.

Charm Workshops

If you’re more into mixing and matching, this is your playground. Hundreds of charms, tons of chains, and complete freedom to create a necklace, bracelet, earrings, or anklet that fits your vibe. It’s quick, customizable, and honestly such a cute group activity!

Permanent Jewelry

Permanent jewelry is their quickest and most addicting option. It takes 10-20 minutes, you pick your chain, and one of their silversmiths welds it on so it stays with you until you decide otherwise. Bracelets are the most popular, but you can go for a necklace, ring, anklet, or even a body chain! It’s simple, elegant, and perfect for groups who want matching pieces or a little memory from the day.

Why The Village at Meridian Makes It Even Better

Being right next to Kleiner Park makes it such a fun outing. You can grab food or a cocktail before or after, walk around, people watch, or make a whole evening out of it. The Village is already great for date nights and celebrations, and Gem Studio fits perfectly into that energy.

A Few Insider Notes

They welcome everyone - kids, adults, first timers, creative people, non creative people, literally anyone. Workshops fill up fast, especially on weekends, so book early. If you’re trying to plan a birthday or group event, this is one of the most memorable options in the Boise area! You can also check out their other locations in Utah, Hawaii, Canada, Arizona, and California.

If you want a night out that feels creative, personal, and a little rewarding, this is a spot worth putting on your list. You’ll walk out with something you made by hand, and trust me, it hits different!
