Bistro D’Helene is a newer North End restaurant, sharing the parking lot with the Boise Co-op. The concept was created by the talented chef, Danielle Christine. You may have heard of her, she is also the owner and chef of Apericena, a Casual, upscale European restaurant located in Hyde Park.
Bistro D’Hélène’s French-esque menu takes inspiration from the heart of France and melds it with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The menu begins with a strong selection of artisanal breads and traditional spreads, followed by wide-ranging apps and mains that touch on a slew of French and Mediterranean flavors.
Recently I was able to try the menu out with some other local foodie influencers and we were all VERY impressed with Danielle's new concept. The food was delicious and full of so much flavor and creativity.
My favorite appetizers were the Arabcini and Wild Mushrooms. Regardless if you like mushrooms or not, I highly recommend you try these ones - they were drool worthy! As for the entrees, I loved the Fig & Brie Burger and the Lobster Ravioli. The burger was packed full of flavor and the Ravioli was honestly perfection.

HORS D'OEUVRES:
Arancini (gf/df): Arborio rice, parmigiano reggiano, flaked potato, truffle
Wild Mushroom Bordelaise: Seasonal mushrooms, sherry, sauteed shallots, fresh thyme, butter
Artichokes Barigoule: Braised artichokes, roasted garlic, fresh herbs, coriander, forbidden rice, tomato coulis
Crêpes Suzette (gf ): Morello cherry, orange flower water, cointreau

Fig & Brie Burger: Grass-fed wagyu beef, brie, truffle, fig ja
Beet & Citrus Salad (gf): Golden beet, red beet, seasonal citrus, thyme, tarragon, yogurt
Lasagne: Grass-fed beef, italian sausage, cherry tomato, oregano, romano
Lobster Ravioli: King crab, sautéed kale, and lemon in a sun-dried tomato crème sauce
Wild-caught Salmon (gf/df): Wild-caught salmon served with sautéed trumpet mushrooms, forbidden rice, and butternut squash
Black Cod (gf/df): Seared black cod served with black lentils, roasted red bell pepper, and a lucques du languedoc gremolata
DESSERTS:
Carrot Cake (gf ): Layers of carrot cake, white chocolate creme, and streusel
