Boise’s Newest Speakeasy – Secret passwords & all!

I’m so excited to share with you a wonderful little secret at The Lively in Boise. It’s speakeasy called ‘Bar40‘ that is open exclusively on Saturdays (to get in, you must call to make a reservation!)

Bar40 is the newest addition to The Lively’s lineup, inspired by legendary Prohibition-era bars. It has amazing drinks, vibrant and delicious canapés, and a swell atmosphere. 😉 As this is intended to be an exclusive, full of wonder, somewhat magical experience, a password is required!

The Vibe

You wouldn’t know it was there unless someone told you—and when you walk down the hall, there’s a separate door that you use a key to open up to the stunning speakeasy!

The atmosphere of Bar40 is meant to transport guests to another time and place where everything is just a little bit more magical than it is today.

Every element in the space has been carefully selected or created just for this moment so that guests can enjoy themselves without distraction or worry about anything else happening around them.

The dress code for Bar40 is “Dress in what makes you feel Lively.”

In true Speakeasy fashion, we all know that dressing up is a lot more fun, but you can go in whatever makes you feel lively!

We’re talking about that perfect little black dress or nice jeans, blouse, and heels!

The Menu

The food menu has been carefully crafted, utilizing local ingredients whenever possible while still staying true to its roots as a bar.

The cocktail menu has been developed by executive beverage director Brandon Clements with an emphasis on the classics and new creations — all rooted in his desire to create a cocktail that’s both memorable and delicious.
