Inside Escape This Boise, Boise’s Oldest Escape Room

If your group chat needs a plan beyond dinner and drinks, add Escape This Boise to the list. We rounded up friends for their Wizard’s Final Exam room before settling in for Sunday football, and it was such a fun way to switch up our usual weekend plans.

A little witchy fun with friends felt especially fitting for October. Here’s what we tried and what to know before booking your own group outing.

Our Wizard’s Final Exam experience

We chose Wizard’s Final Exam, where the story has you taking one last challenge from Merlock to become a master wizard. Potions, spells and sorcery are all part of the theme, so it fit our spooky Sunday plans perfectly.

I’m keeping the actual puzzles out of this post so you can discover them for yourself. But if you’ve been trying to get your friends together for something different, this was such a fun group activity.

Clementine helped us get all set up and was absolutely amazing. A big thank-you to her for taking care of our group!

More rooms to try

Escape This Boise is Boise’s oldest escape room and a women-owned business. Their own team builds the rooms, with themes ranging from wizards to pirates, the jungle, the Wild West and zombies.

Check the current room lineup before booking, especially if you’re looking for a seasonal experience.

Planning your visit to Escape This Boise

Find them at 410 S Orchard St, Suite 108, Boise. All rooms are private, so your booking is just for your group.

Wizard’s Final Exam holds up to 12 people. Their website recommends 6–12 players for this medium-difficulty room, though smaller groups can book it too. Other rooms have different capacities, so check before inviting everyone. Children under 12 need at least one adult in the room.

You can book Wizard’s Final Exam online or call 208-509-9347 with questions.

This was such a fun addition to our Sunday, and there are still more rooms for us to go back and try. Save this for your next Boise group outing, or send it to the friends you’d bring along!
