Welcome to our latest home improvement adventure!
Recently, we took on the challenge of remodeling our guest bathroom. And let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. We were inspired after we tackled our guest bedroom, we wanted to have them both done before we left town for our house sitter. I was honestly surprised at what we were able to tackle in such a short time...however we made the mutual decision that the next time we paint a room, we're hiring professionals. I don't think our backs have fully recovered lol.
We decided to start small by swapping out those old, tired switches and outlets. We found these amazing matte black, rounded ones on Amazon that instantly modernized the room. Plus, we updated the door stoppers and hinges to match our black door. (Best decision we’ve ever made BTW!)
Next up, the paint job. We wanted a clean, fresh look, so we chose Snowbound Cashmere (Flat) for the walls and Snowbound Emerald (Satin) for the trim. The result? A pristine, elegant backdrop that makes the space feel brand-new.
We’re also planning to elevate the sink and shower area with matte black faucets. It’s the little things that make a big difference, right? It’s just a little intimidating to do on our own, so we’re adding hiring a plumber to our honey-do list!
To tie everything together, we added hints of gold and orange. This not only makes the countertop feel more cohesive but also adds a warm cozy feel to the room. Also, our new vanity handles are a brassy gold, perfectly matching the lights. (I still need to snap a few more photos, but trust me, they’re so cute!)
To wrap it all up, want to spice up the decor! So I went online to find some cute soap/lotion bottles with brass as well as matches, plants and candles. I am seriously so happy with how well it all turned out, I can't wait to update our master bed/bath and office!
If you’ve been thinking about sprucing up your space, whether it's a full remodel or just a few updates, you’ll be amazed at what small differences like paint and light switches can do!
Stay tuned for more updates and photos. Happy remodeling!
xoxo,
